In today’s entry of incredible foul ball catches, we bring you this one that could’ve gone really, really, REALLY poorly — but it all worked out.
With his baby in his lap, this Mariners fan just reaches back, looking almost casual, to reel in the foul ball. We’re a little concerned about his blase attitude about it all (sir, that’s your BABY right near the ball’s trajectory!), but in the end, it’s a pretty flippin’ cool moment for the highlight reel.
His wife had a great reaction, with a simple facepalm (a classic!), but it’s that thoroughly unimpressed baby that steals the show here. That’s a hilarious reaction. This baby has passing interest, at most, in the baseball after their dad catches it. Babies aren’t known for their baseball prowess, but this little guy just does not care.
That seals it. This is the best crowd catch we’ve seen since this broadcaster caught a foul ball in the middle of his play-by-play.
