Baseball fans in Miami don’t have much to cheer for this season after Derek Jeter and the team’s front office staff shipped all the Marlins' big name players out of town over the offseason.

However, if you attended Wednesday night’s game against the Los Angeles Dodgers you were treated to a little more than just a baseball game. Marlyn Sanchez has sung the national anthem ahead of Marlins games before, only she wasn’t in attendance to sing. Instead, she was there to throw out the ceremonial first pitch and it turned out to be a moment she’ll remember for the rest of her life.

The ol’ “ring in the ball” proposal trick 💍

After doing her best impression of 50 Cent’s ceremonial first pitch before a New York Mets game, Sanchez got an awesome surprise as the catcher turned out to be her boyfriend Ralph Cabrera, and not a member of the Marlins. Seconds later he dropped down to one knee and pulled off the surprise of a lifetime as he opened up the ball and revealed a wedding ring.

The couple went home happily engaged and the Marlins picked up their second straight win, so everyone left the ballpark with a smile on their face.
