Matt “The Terror” Serra had a lengthy and successful career inside the octagon.

The 44-year-old fought in 13 different major UFC events, with his biggest and most well-known victory coming at UFC 69 in Houston where he became the first and only person to defeat Georges St. Pierre via knockout.

Serra is currently in Las Vegas as he’ll be inducted into the UFC Hall of Fame on Thursday night, but he probably didn’t think he’d have to put his Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt to use during his trip. While the East Meadow, New York native was out for a bite to eat on Wednesday night, he noticed a drunk customer threatening waiters so he decided to take matters into his own hands.

The former UFC welterweight fighter turned to his jiu-jitsu skills to pin down the drunk customer and didn’t even need to lay a hand on him.

Serra went 11-7 during his professional career and last fought on September 25, 2010 at UFC 119, where he lost to Chris Lytle via unanimous decision.
