Toronto Maple Leaf fans have a little extra reason to be excited for the holiday season.

On Wednesday, news broke that two of the team’s young stars, Auston Matthews and Mitch Marner, will be starring in the National Ballet of Canada’s The Nutcracker. The two will serve as Cannon Dolls in the production despite having very little dancing experience. At least that’s what we know about Matthews, who commented on how he’s feeling about the whole thing. He might be agile on the ice but… apparently he’s not when it comes to dancing!

With that said, Matthews claims to have some previous stage experience. However, none of it involved dancing and he admitted he’s quite nervous to see how things will unfold.

Matthews and Marner are just two of numerous celebrities making an appearance. The list also includes Max Kerman and Anthony Carone of the Arkells, author Emma Donoghue, Olympic figure skaters Eric Radford and Dylan Moscovitch, and more.

Another thing to add to their resumés 😂😂

The all-stars will get their call to the stage on December 19th at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts. What a show this is going to turn out to be!
