Regardless of the sport, nutmegging someone will have them reconsidering their life. But, in baseball, with a slider, while also forcing a swing-and-miss for a strikeout? Come on. Sandy León of the Boston Red Sox is going to be questioning the very fabric of our existence for days.

Look at Max Scherzer, a beauty.

That’s so dirty. So so dirty. Scherzer is one of the top pitchers in baseball right now, and you’re seeing why here.

The Red Sox probably weren’t feeling too bad though, after their pitcher, Rick Porcello, cleared the bases with a three-run double to put them ahead early in the second inning. The Nationals weren’t able to muster enough run support to claw away at the deficit.

Still, we might just take Scherzer’s pitch as Nutmeg of the Year so far. The only other contender we can think of is LeBron James nutmegging his own teammate with a behind-the-back dribble to split a double-team, which, okay, was pretty great itself.
