Carmelo Anthony has only been a member of the Portland Trail Blazers for one week now, but his teammates and their fans are fully embracing their newest player.

On Monday night the Blazers paid a visit to the Chicago Bulls and Melo put together his best performance of the young season, as he dropped a game-high 25 points to go with 8 rebounds and two assists in a 117-94 victory.

It also happened to be a historic night for Melo as his 25 points pushed him past Alex English for 18th spot on the NBA’s all-time scoring list and his wife, Lala, made sure to FaceTime their son, Kiyan, while it all happened so he could witness his father make history.

Through four games with the Blazers, Melo is averaging 16 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
