Players around the league are starting to share their feelings about the Houston Astros’ cheating scandal and the players involved with the start of spring training right around the corner.

This past weekend we heard 2019 NL MVP Cody Bellinger absolutely destroy the Astros with his thoughts on the whole thing and on Monday afternoon 2019 AL MVP Mike Trout followed in Bellinger’s footsteps.

“It’s sad for baseball,” Trout said. “It’s tough. They cheated. I don’t agree with the punishments, the players not getting anything. It was a player-driven thing. It sucks, too, because guys’ careers have been affected, a lot of people lost jobs. It was tough. Me going up to the plate knowing what was coming — it would be pretty fun up there.” “I lost some respect for some guys,” Trout said. “… All the stuff coming out, it’s tough to see.”

Trout also mentioned that some players from the Astros team reached out to him to try to explain what happened, but he didn’t name any names. The 28-year-old said he noticed the banging on the bat and doesn’t agree with the punishment from MLB.

“They should definitely do something. I don’t know what, but to cheat like that and not get anything, it’s sad to see.”

Players across the league are disappointed with the Astros and the players involved in the scandal and it’ll be interesting to see how they handle things the first time they visit Houston or host the Astros this upcoming season.
