Seems like Mitch Marner is developing a reputation for this sort of thing, yeah? It wasn’t long ago that he was seen making one young fan’s Valentine’s Day with this very wholesome interaction.
This guy’s popular with the kids! On his way to the ice for Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres, Marner spotted a young fan celebrating her 7th birthday, and it seemed that all she wanted was a chance to meet Mitch.
Of course he obliged!
She was literally jumping with joy! It was very cool of Marner to take a moment out of his routine for the quick meet and greet. This guy just does things the right way.
Tonight was a sentimental night for Leafs fans at large, since in the last few days, there has been an outpouring of support for John Tavares on social media. After the hostile reception that he received in his return to Long Island, Leafs fans have trended the #TavaresDayTO hashtag on Twitter over the last few days, and it even compelled the Leafs to announce Tavares last during player introductions so that he could get a massive pop from the crowd.
