Mookie Betts is among the best at a lot of things in the game of baseball. Stealing bases, making contact on pitches, winning America tacos, fielding…

Wait, what?

Yep, winning America tacos is apparently one of Mookie’s strengths. By stealing a base on Tyler Glasnow during Game 1 of the World Series, Betts cashed in on a very communal promotion in which Taco Bell vows to award everyone in America a free Doritos Locos taco if a base is stolen by either team during the World Series.

The crazy part is, it’s the 2nd time Mookie has done this. He also did so when the Boston Red Sox made it to the World Series in 2018.

If only the tacos were cumulative, because Mookie went on to steal 3rd base as well. Earlier in the game, Chris Taylor appeared to be the base stealing hero, but the play was officially scored as a wild pitch.

Apparently even Tampa Bay Rays infielder Willy Adames appreciated the effort, he gave Mookie a hug upon his arrival at 2nd base.

While we’re sure Adames would have preferred to get the tag down in time, everyone can appreciate free tacos.
