The Minor League Baseball season is nearing an end as teams are currently hosting or just finished hosting their final home stand of the 2017 baseball season. The Myrtle Beach Pelicans played their final home game of the season on Thursday night as they hosted the Buies Creek Astros and it was an emotional night for Pelicans fans.

Deuce, the team’s Pro Shop greeter and team member in charge of bringing fresh baseballs to the umpires, ran around the bases one last time in front of the home crowd.

Deuce joined the team ten years ago and it was a team tradition for the doggo to run around the bases after every home win. Even though the Pelicans fell short on Thursday night, they still gave him the proper send-off into retirement that he deserved by letting him run around the bases one more time in the middle of the game.

He is definitely going to be missed by fans and players regardless of what team they cheer or play for.
