The Carolina Mudcats wrapped up a three-game series with the Buies Creek Astros at home on Wednesday afternoon.

The Astros took the first two games of the series, so the Mudcats decided to pull out some tricks in the series finale in hopes of getting at least one win in front of their home crowd.

With the Mudcats leading 2-0 in the top of the 7th inning, the Astros started to make a push to get on the board. That’s when the Mudcats got a little sneaky.

Mudcats third baseman Lucas Erceg and the rest of his teammates displayed perfect patience to successfully pull off a hidden ball trick to get the runner out.

It ended up being a huge play for the Milwaukee Brewers’ minor league affiliate as they got out of the inning and went on to win 3-0.
