With friends like these, who needs enemies?

Thursday, during the bottom of the fourth inning in a game between the Phillies and the Nationals the tarp had to be brought out after it began to pour at Nationals Park in Washington D.C. You might think that the entertainment comes to a halt when the tarp comes out, but sometimes the grounds crew become the stars of the show.

That's not exactly what happened here, but things did get a little dramatic after a grounds crew member fell underneath the tarp, which somehow went unnoticed by his teammates who continued to drag the cover with him underneath it.

Luckily he was able to get to his feet and escape the dreaded tarp so that he didn't become a permanent fixture at Nationals Park. Would've been odd to see Bryce Harper trot around a downed grounds crew member every single time he hit a dinger.

Could've been worse, though. Just ask the kid from Kansas City who was literally (not literally) swallowed whole by a tarp a few years back.
