The Basketball Hall of Fame is opening a new superfan gallery this year, and since the Toronto Raptors are the NBA’s reigning champs at the moment, it’s only fitting that Raptors superfan Nav Bhatia is among the first class of superfan inductees.

Bhatia has become known not just among Raptors fans, but throughout the NBA for his dedication; he also became the first fan to receive a championship ring, and now his fandom will be immortalized in Springfield.

Bhatia will be joined in the superfan gallery by Penny Marshall, the legendary actress and director who passed away in 2019.

The Hall of Fame also announced its list of 2020 finalists, and it's an absolutely stacked class this year. Kobe Bryant, Kevin Garnett and Tim Duncan headline this year's finalists, and they're joined by Tamika Catchings, Rudy Tomjanovich, Eddie Sutton, Barbara Stevens and Kim Mulkey.
