Game of Thrones is the most popular show on television so it’s no surprise that many of the NHL’s brightest stars are tuning in to the show on Sundays in the summer.
On top of the massive population that watches the show, there’s also the part of the population that loves to analyze every bit of it as well. They make theories, discuss them with their friends, re-read and re-watch every little bit of the shows just to find the smallest clues. That’s how people predicted things like R+L=J and many other popular theories – and NHL players have some theories of their own.
At least in this video, they may not be as in-depth and you won’t need a tinfoil hat to believe them, but they make some good points. Along with some of their predictions, they share their favourite characters as well.
Clearly some of these players are bigger fans of the show than others, but we’re not sure any of them can rival the MLB’s ruler of the seven kingdoms. Earlier in the summer, Cabbie met up with Evan Longoria, who is known to be a huge GOT fan and talked out how the show can relate to his job in real life.
Just don’t give the White Walkers a hockey stick. You saw what they can do with a Javelin, but they would definitely dangle Jon Snow before going hard to the Iron Throne.
