Some people have a reluctance to appreciate commercials. They see it as a nod to consumerism working on them if they were to appreciate them, but the truth is some commercials are just downright funny. Then there’s GEICO – ALL GEICO ads are downright funny.
Often times you don’t even know you’re watching a GEICO ad until the voice reveals “GEICO could save you 15% or more on car insurance”, a phrase we’ve all come to know pretty well. Their campaigns have been so successful, they’ve even got celebrities joining the fun. This is not limited to movie stars, either. Lots of athletes are getting in the mix.
We’ve seen Ickey Woods perform his famous “Ickey Shuffle”, we’ve seen Dikembe Mutombo slap the G right off of GEICO, and we’ve seen Stefon Diggs have trouble taking out the garbage. Those were great, but Nikita Kucherov “lighting the lamp” will definitely take top spot for hockey fans.
Nobody can argue, Kuch is pretty good at lighting the lamp! The Tampa Bay Lightning winger’s 5-point performance against Edmonton on December 22 now has him up to 57 points in just 37 games. ELITE.
