Nolan Arenado isn’t just one of the best third basemen in baseball, he’s one of the best in the game. Period.

The 28-year-old is heading to his fifth straight MLB All-Star Game this season and he’s been tearing it up on both sides of the ball as he heads into the All-Star break with 20 home runs and 67 RBI to go with a .312 batting average and a .377 OBP. On Sunday night, Arenado’s skills at the plate weren’t on display, but his defensive skills certainly were.

In the bottom of the 7th inning, Diamondbacks pinch hitter Domingo Leyba hit a bouncing ball down the third base line that would have most third basemen beat, but not Arenado.

Not only did Arenado make an extremely impressive play by making the barehanded grab to stop the ball, but he capped it all off by beating the runner to first base with his rocket of an arm.

No glove, no problem for Nolan.

It’s very easy to see why many people consider Nolan Arenado to be the best third baseman in the game right now.
