Mr. T has gradually become one of the world’s more well-known curling fans.

‘Lawrence Turead’, as he was named by birth, recently tweeted that he has been following new sports in the 2018 Winter Olympics. The main event he has turned his attention to is curling. That’s right, “curling fool.”

He even acknowledged that the sport isn’t as easy as it looks.

The former actor/professional wrestler was pleased to see that the Americans made a trip to the finals after a historic upset over the Canadians. A native of Chicago Illinois, it’s not surprising to see that he showed his support for the team ahead of their gold medal match against Sweden.

With a curler on the team who looks like Super Mario and Kansas City Chiefs head coach Andy Reid, how could you not cheer for the group?

In the six times Curling has been included as an Olympic event, the United States have medaled just once, winning a bronze in the 2006 Turin Games. Perhaps Mr. T’s support of the team has given them an extra boost, as they’re currently in the midst of a run for the ages.

If the celebrity is looking to stay attached to the Sport following the Olympics, he should consider a new workout routine for his already enormous biceps.

UPDATE: The USA defeated the Swedes 10-7 to win gold.
