If you’re LeBron James, you’re used to being in the spotlight. That’s because James is one of basketball’s all-time legends. There are countless moments of LeBron making clutch shots, slamming down massive dunks, or coming from behind to make impossible blocks in his own zone. While the man is basically a basketball machine, every once in a while we are reminded that even the best can blunder.

This was the case on Wednesday when LeBron found himself in a prime position to show off a little flare. Facing the Nets in Cleveland, James read a pass and stole the ball at the top of the arc. In full stride already, James was on a clear breakaway – you can even see the Nets’ players starting to ease up, almost as if they want to enjoy the show as much as the rest of the crowd.

Unfortunately for LeBron and the Cavs’ faithful preparing to erupt, the dunk never happened. James went for the windmill and ended up rimming out, prompting a surprised reaction from everyone in the building.

The most disappointing part of this dunk attempt was the commentator buttering up LeBron’s “pick six” just moments before the miss. While nobody’s perfect, LeBron is pretty close when it comes to basketball. Haters are going to savour this moment, as miniscule as it was.

Just to even out the "greatest of all-time" argument, here's MJ missing a dunk.
