Happy National Donut Day everyone!

This is truly a day to celebrate. One where no matter what diet, workout regimen or other food-restrictive life choice you’re participating in, you can indulge in one of these delicious treats. It’s like a national cheat day.

The only thing that could make this day better is if we could take a trip down to our favourite fictional donut shop, Stan Mikita’s Donuts.

The store was originally a spoof of Tim Horton's in the first Wayne's World movie. Despite being an American in the movie, Mike Myers has always stayed true to his Canadian roots, and there is no better way to pay homage to growing up in Canada.

Wayne's World is an all-time classic and has a cult following, so not only was it re-created (Kind of) at the 2017 NHL All-Star game, but there has been a lot of fan art created as well.

In honour of National Donut Day and Stan Mikita's Donuts, we've collected some of the best donut and sports intersections in history.

Baseball stadiums, especially the minor league ones, have an obsession with selling outrageous food options. Many of them include donuts as buns.

Do we even need to explain this one? This picture is so weird and so is National Donut Day.
