Is there anybody in the NBA like Lance Stephenson? Besides playing a loud and proud brand of basketball that would fit right in at Rucker Park, the guy plays with a full-throttle energy that can ping-pong from helpful one moment to meme-worthy the next, and right back.
As the blooper reel connoisseurs over at Shaqtin’ a Fool noted, this one play captures the full range of Lance Stephenson.
How many guys are slipping that behind-the-back pass through traffic on the fast break, or elevating over bigs to create offensive rebounds? Stephenson is the rare guy who will test anybody on anything. Unfortunately, sometimes that also means isolations that end in... well, whatever that was.
We can only applaud the Lakers for going full send and pairing Stephenson with JaVale McGee, who is essentially 7-foot OG Lance.
Playing a Thursday night national game at home, the Lakers took to their court in their classic gold uniforms. We’re sure that viewers didn't miss the purple "Statement" jerseys.
