The city of Washington had never celebrated a Stanley Cup win before Thursday night when Alex Ovechkin and the Caps beat the Golden Knights.

The city and the team has been partying ever since that final buzzer sounded and Saturday, Ovi at the centre of the ongoing celebration.  The 32-year-old threw out the first pitch at the Nationals game, but that wasn't even close to the best part of his day.

After the game, Ovechkin did a keg stand out of Lord Stanley's Mug and he and his teammates somehow followed that moment up by taking a dip in a pond and celebrating with fans watching.

What more can you say, Ovi is a man of the people and a man who is celebrating the way any future Hall of Famer would after winning his first Cup.

And just in case you're wondering, yes, Ovi is still holding the Cup.
