Throughout his eight year career P.K. Subban has been one of the most outspoken players in the NHL. He's never afraid to speak candidly, and he often has something entertaining to say. That's what made his apparent absence at media availability before Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Final so puzzling.

Following a heated Game 5 match-up in which Sidney Crosby and Subban got into a physical altercation that saw the Penguins forward drive the defenceman's head into the ice, many were waiting to hear what PK had to say about the event going into Game 6. But Subban wasn't present at media availability ahead of Game 6. There was plenty of speculation as to why one of the NHL's biggest stars was unavailable to speak, with some pointing towards the Predators communication team, theorizing that perhaps they were responsible for the defenceman's silence. That was not the case as Subban discussed on Tuesday.

The reason Subban was unavailable was because he was out taking a skate. No conspiracy theory there folks. Probably should've just gone with the Occam's razor method in the first place, but with a player as interesting as Subban, pretty much nothing is out of the question.

Here's to hoping we hear a lot more from P.K. throughout the summer, as going this long without hockey will feel even longer if we don't hear from one of the game's most entertaining stars.
