The San Diego Padres and the San Francisco Giants don’t have anything left to play for other than their pride as they’ve both already been eliminated from playoff contention with just under two weeks left in the regular season.

In the bottom of the fifth during Tuesday night’s tilt between the two clubs, Padres outfielder Franmil Reyes smashed his 16th home run of the season and he got some extra assistance from a fan in the front row.

Giants left fielder Chris Shaw had the ball in his sights the entire way and even timed the jump perfectly. However, he wasn’t expecting one of the fans in the crowd to reach in front of his glove and take the ball away him.

The umpires ended up meeting and reviewing the play, but in the end they ruled it a fair home run.
