Patrick Mahomes has been setting the NFL on fire with the start he’s had to his NFL career; he was already setting records last week after having thrown for ten touchdowns and 833 yards through his first three games (dating back to a spot start in last season’s Week 17).

After dazzling on Sunday with three more touchdowns to add to his total, Mahomes has set yet another record. His 13 passing touchdowns are the most ever through three weeks of the season, passing Peyton Manning’s previous record of 12.

The records are nice, but his first touchdown pass of the day may be even nicer. Watch how he escapes pressure in the pocket before finding his man in the end zone, and then see the player tracking illustration to see precisely how nuts it was.

The young gun continues to impress. Expectations for the Chiefs QB are sky-high right now, and he continues to pad the hype with performances like this — at least one former NFL star is buying big on Mahomes already.
