The Vancouver Canucks have attracted a lot of negative attention from their younger audiences after Bo Horvat confirmed their video game ban and now one of the league’s young stars has chimed in.

It’s possible that Patrik Laine is the most avid gamer in the league and when asked about the Canucks’ new rules, he was pretty blunt in stating that he thought it was a “terrible idea”. He then went on to elaborate on why a team like the Canucks might feel the need to do something like this whereas the Jets wouldn’t.

So, he’s not wrong. As savage as his comments were, the Canucks were near the bottom of the league last year and if their season went as well as the Jets’ did, they probably wouldn’t be having this discussion.

Still, Horvat seems totally happy with it.
