The Atlanta Braves are going through some heavy changes, and not just in their roster.

The Georgia-based ball club just played their first season in SunTrust Park, a replacement for the old and outdated Turner Field. As part of their transformation, the organization introduced their newest team member and number one fan, Blooper.

The mascot is certainly interesting, with a lot less colour than most modern-day mascots, but fans are focusing on a different issue – the resemblance to the Phillie Phanatic.

The Phillie Phanatic is one of the most iconic mascots in the game, so fans are definitely going to notice that right away. It doesn’t help that the Philadelphia Phillies play in the same division as the Braves. One thing is for sure, if people are going to start drawing comparisons, Blooper is going to really have to bring his A-game.
