Phil Kessel is a man of few words.
The animated forward wasn’t known as much of a chatter in Toronto, and thing haven’t changed much since he made his way over to Pittsburgh. But when he decides to speak up, you can count on him to provide fans with a golden soundbite or two. Kessel was recently asked about what he did this summer and decided to fire back with a pretty blunt response.

The only difference between this year’s summer and the past two is that it was missing a very important element of it; a day with the Stanley Cup. Can anyone recall the guys golfing with the trophy and stuffing it to the brim with hot dogs?
Ya can’t make this stuff up kids!
It’s stuff like this that has helped the 30-year-old rise to fame online. In fact, if you check his Wikipedia page, he actually has his own section called ‘Internet Fame’.
After recording 92 points in 82 games last season, fans shouldn’t expect much less if he really was up to “the same old shit’.
