The Philadelphia Union have a pretty awesome plan in place for this weekend’s game against the Chicago Fire.

On Saturday, the Union players will take the field wearing custom cleats. However, these aren’t like any other custom cleats you’ve ever seen before and that’s because the shoes were designed by children with cancer.

Earlier this year, 15 children battling childhood cancer attended a Union practice and were paired up with a player following the training session. During that time, the children designed cleats for the player they were matched up with, and the final results are pretty incredible.

In partnership with Kickasso, the designs were taken directly from the paper and added to the cleats. The youngest child to draw up a design was three-year-old Liam Sheridan, while the oldest child to submit a design was 17-year-old Justin Pritikin.

The Union will be holding their annual Pediatric Cancer Awareness Night and will have all sorts of things around the stadium as part of the event, such as yellow nets and corner flags, yellow treatment on the videobaords and much more.
