Alexis Lafreniere just added a brand new highlight reel goal to his collection.

The 16-year-old, who’s widely been considered the number one prospect for the 2020 draft, showed why he’s being considered the top dog on an incredible individual effort to help Canada score its third goal. Watch as he weaved his way to the unlikely marker.

He’s 16!

This wasn't the first time Lafreniere managed to get himself on the scoresheet in the period, earlier managing to make a nifty pass to help Canada score its second goal of the game. The Nucks trailed 2-0 but crawled back into it with three straight goals.

Lafreniere has proven to be an absolute offensive machine over the past year. As a rookie, he managed to 42 goals and 38 assists in just 60 games with the QMJHL's Rimouski Oceanic.

… As a rookie!

A gold medal will only help his case for being selected the number one pick in a few years’ time. Goals like this certainly will, too.
