J.R. Smith's blunder at the end of regulation in Game 1 was like nothing we've ever seen before and in the moment, LeBron James couldn't have been more upset with what he did.

As Brandon Prust pointed out, that's the biggest difference between hockey and basketball.

Smith didn't back down from talking to the media, but what Prust tweeted certainly held true in this scenario in regards to the lack of encouragement he received from his teammates after the play.

Patrik Laine, however, immediately was consoled by Blake Wheeler after scoring an own goal in December of 2016, thus proving Prust's point.

 

We'd like to think the Cavs will have Smith's back because they need him or someone to contribute (aside from LeBron) if Cleveland has any hope of evening the series.
