There were two shocking results at the World Juniors on Wednesday, but the United States' game against the Czech Republic was not one of them.

Team USA defeated the underdogs 3-1 to advance to the semis where they'll face Russia for a spot in the gold medal game.  Before they knew their opponent for their next game, though, Quinn Hughes had arguably the quote of the tournament on facing either Russia or Slovakia.

Hughes, who was drafted 7th overall in the 2018 draft by the Canucks, plays college hockey at the University of Michigan and he obviously isn't worried in the slightest about facing Russia because of what he's experienced playing in the NCAA.
Some will call it cockiness or bulletin board material.  Others will call it confidence.  Either way, Hughes and company are in for their toughest test of the tournament and they shouldn't take the Russian squad lightly.
