He's only played 5 games with the Canucks, but Quinn Hughes is already a fan favourite in Vancouver.

The dynamic defenceman is set to make an immediate impact on the team's blueline this fall. Off the ice, Hughes is already making a world of a difference for one particular Canucks fan.

Meet Jonathan Myskiw, a Canucks fan who just became the first secondary school grad at Fawkes Academy in Burnaby, B.C.

Myskiw, who is autistic and suffers from an anxiety disorder, reached out to Hughes on Instagram to inform him about his grad.

Hughes surprised Myskiw and showed up in what was a heartwarming exchange during the week of the 2019 NHL Entry Draft where Quinn's brother, Jack, was selected first overall.

"I got a message from Jonathan saying that he was going to be the first person to graduate from his school and that he was the biggest Canucks fan," explained Hughes in the video. "I could tell how much it meant to him, and for me, I think it's important to try to do nice things and be a nice person and I feel like this was a good opportunity to try to do that."

"He's around my age and I thought we could get along and he'd be a good guy to be around," Myskiw said. "He's an awesome guy."

Hats off to Hughes for going out of his way to make this happen.
