If you’re a top-three pick in the NFL Draft, you’re kind of a big deal! Quinnen Williams, who went third to the New York Jets last month, fully knows that.

He just doesn’t feel it yet. Williams couldn’t contain his excitement when he spoke about meeting his new teammates for the first time. He’s one of the guys in the locker room, but from the way he was talking about it, he sounded just like any other 21-year-old fan. It’s refreshing!

“Seven months ago, I didn't even know if I was going to start [at Alabama], so to be in this position right now, bro, that's crazy! When I get to meet people, I be like, 'Man, that's dope.' I met Le'Veon Bell yesterday, and I'm like, 'Whoa!’ Like, that's Le'Veon Bell, the number one running back in the NFL!”

Williams couldn’t hold back the smiles as he spoke, also shouting out Jamal Adams (who he uses in Madden) and Sam Darnold. Come the regular season, Williams might be out there tearing it up on the D-line with some of those other guys that he’s in awe of, but for now, he’s just excited to be here, and that’s nice too.

Jets fans have to be liking this guy already. Even if the team just needs him to return kicks, then that’s what Williams will do — he’s just down to get started!
