Earlier this week, New York Rangers fans could do nothing but wait as they watched the Sabres reveal their Winter Classic jerseys for their game against New York in 2018.
Fans probably thought the Rangers would unveil their Winter Classic jerseys at the same time as the Sabres, but they waited and maybe frustrated fans with videos like this:
Heck, there was even a "leaked" Rangers Winter Classic jersey that made the rounds before the team decided to show off the real thing to the hockey world.
As the old saying goes, though, good things come those who wait, and on Friday the patience of Rangers fans paid off as the team revealed their spectacular Winter Classic sweaters that look nothing like the leaked jersey.
As you can see, the lettering across the jerseys and stripes are the same, but the colour on the official jerseys looks so much better.
Plus, the stripes near the collar, the colour of the collar and the "NY" patch all make the sweater that much better.
