Sylvester Stallone has become known for his role as the macho man. The Expendables and Rambo are two examples of his superhuman manliness on display, but there is no role more heavily associated with the Italian Stallion than that of Rocky Balboa.

The Rocky movie series changed sports movies forever. The incredible stories of redemption and perseverance in the boxing ring encapsulate what a lot of sport movies strive for today. While lots of sports fans can tout that they’ve seen the series multiple times, not many can say they’ve seen the stripped down choreography that went into the film.

Recently, some rare footage of Stallone practicing choreography with Carl Weathers surfaced, and the communication and movement that goes into the scenes is incredibly captivating.

Many may think that Stallone is just a meathead actor that is only really on screen because of his physique. This clip shows Stallone in a different light, as he is artfully creating one of the most famous boxing scenes in cinematic history.
