The San Francisco 49ers are heading to the Super Bowl, and this one’s a long time coming for Richard Sherman. After tearing his Achilles in 2017, the cornerback has grinded his way back to the top of the game, and his emotions were clear after the 49ers stamped their ticket to Miami.

Still, not everyone is so happy for Sherman. One of the best corners to ever do it, Darrelle Revis, chimed in on Twitter during the game that Sherman was hiding in zone coverage, accusing Sherman of being afraid to get beat man-to-man.

Sherman came back with some heat. His retort was simple: Look who’s going to the Super Bowl?

Fact-check: In his ninth season, a 30-year-old Darrelle Revis was still a Pro Bowl cornerback, same as Sherman this year. That being said, Revis never got back to the playoffs until doing so in a bit role with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2017; he was released in the following offseason and retired not long after.

Sherman, meanwhile, forms one of the best defenses in the NFL along with his 49ers teammates, and he’ll have a chance to win his second career Super Bowl against the Chiefs in two weeks. Of note: Like Sherman right now, Revis only ever won one title.

The 49ers-Chiefs matchup in the Super Bowl might be pitting the league’s best offense against its best defense. This is definitely going to be a fun one to watch. Are we thinking Sherman picks off Patrick Mahomes to shut up Revis?

Who ya got? 🤔
