The Colin Kaepernick debate probably won’t die until Kaepernick gets a job in the NFL – if Kaepernick gets a job in the NFL, that is.

Kaepernick has been in the spotlight ever since his decision to sit/kneel during the American national anthem, a testament to how he feels that his rights have not been met as an American. Since he began showing his stance he has been met with widespread controversy, but also a ton of support – particularly from other players around the league.

Tennessee Titans’ wide receiver Rishard Matthews is the latest to take a clear stance on the matter. He posted a photo of the cleats he plans to don when the Titans take on the Houston Texans Sunday. This week is the “My Cause, My Cleats” week in the NFL where players are allowed to use customized cleats to support their causes or charities, Matthews has chosen Kaepernick’s cause to be his own.

Don’t be surprised if he is not the only player to choose Kaepernick as their cause.
