Russell Westbrook has been playing out of this world so through 35 games this season and it doesn’t seem like he’s going to slow down anytime soon. The 28-year-old point guard is averaging career highs in points, rebounds and assists, and leads the Oklahoma City Thunder in each of those categories.

However, despite playing MVP-caliber basketball all season long, Westbrook still doesn’t get the same respect from the referees that some of the other NBA superstars receive. As much as he would probably like for that to change, he didn’t exactly help his case on Wednesday night.

Russell Westbrook accidentally drilled a referee in the head with a basketball.

Westbrook wasn’t aiming for the referee’s head on purpose and he immediately let him know that it was an accident, but one of the referees wasn’t having any of it and still gave him a technical foul for his actions.
