Russell Westbrook was a fan favourite in Oklahoma City during his time with the Thunder and it wasn’t just because of how he performed on a nightly basis.

The 30-year-old is one of the most active players in the league when it comes to getting out into the community and he’s always finding different ways to show love to the fans.

One thing Westbrook tends to do after certain games is give away his game sneakers to a young fan.

On Wednesday night, the 8-time NBA All-Star and 2017 NBA MVP provided a young Rockets fan with a moment he’ll never forget as he handed off his sneakers to the young man as he exited the court.

Getting to see your favourite team win and then receiving a pair of game worn shoes from one of your favourite players easily makes for the best night ever.
