Apparently Joe Thornton and Ryan Reaves have a pretty different opinion on a questionable hit to Tomas Nosek’s head from Sunday night.

Thornton appeared to deliberately check Nosek in the head but according to him, it really wasn’t all that bad. In fact, Jumbo would go on to say that he “barely touched him” and that his son hits him like that “six times a day.” Reaves couldn’t disagree more and sounded off on Thornton after hearing what he had to say.

Jumbo Joe didn’t see a problem with his hit on Tomas Nosek

Thornton: 0, Reaves: 6539890468876790865. Incredible.

Reaves and Thornton have been going after one another pretty hard since the Knights took Game Three. Thornton threw a nice little chirp in on the Vegas enforcer after he dropped the gloves with Sharks 30-goal-scorer Evander Kane. Kane held his own in the fight, but we’re not exactly sure we entirely agree with Thornton’s comments.

Not so sure about that JJ.

Thornton is set to have a hearing on Monday and could find himself watching from the press box for Game 4. Perhaps Reaves will leave him a thick pair of glasses if he does in fact sit out.
