Jack Eichel said he was happy with the moves the team made in the offseason and that includes the selections they made at the 2020 NHL Draft.

One of the players they drafted this year is JJ Peterka, who they took with the 34th pick in the 2nd round. Last year, the German forward scored 7 goals and 11 points in 42 games with Munich EHC in the DEL. This year, he’s already up to three goals and 11 points in 10 games with Salzburg EC of the Austrian League.

On Friday, Peterka recorded more assists in his team’s win than he recorded all last season as he ended up setting up all five goals in his team’s 5-3 victory.

They weren’t just right place at the right time type of plays, there were a bunch of highlight reel worthy plays from the Sabres prospect during the game.

If the 18-year-old keeps playing like this he should be with the Sabres in no time.
