On Thursday, January 12th, 2017, the San Diego Chargers officially became the Los Angeles Chargers. The fan base in San Diego was understandably devastated, and the hometown football team they assumed would always be there had relocated.

A San Diego Gulls' fan decided he would head down to the Chargers' facility where fans were dumping off their Chargers' merchandise, and offer the heartbroken fans some AHL Gulls' tickets to help ease the pain. When the football team leaves town, why not create some hockey fans?

We understand the AHL doesn't exactly compare to the NFL, but the gesture this Gulls' fan made to share his tickets with the upset sports fans in his community is heartwarming. We wouldn't be surprised to see a few more hockey fans in San Diego in the coming weeks.
