It appears that Sarah Fuller’s football career has come to an end.

After Vanderbilt's final game of the season against Georgia was cancelled by the NCAA, Fuller took to social media to announce the end of her time as a football player and thank the Vanderbilt football team for the opportunity.

While her football career was short-lived, it was also groundbreaking and inspirational for so many young women everywhere. In all, Fuller made two playing appearances with Vandy, becoming the first woman to play in a Power Five football game, and it was great to see her get on the board on Saturday with a pair of made extra point kicks.

Fuller will return to play with the Vanderbilt women’s soccer team as their goalkeeper, with the NCAA tournament set to take place in the spring.
