The Arizona Coyotes have't retired a player's jersey, but that will change on February 24th.
Doan spent the entirety of his career with the Coyotes (one season in Winnipeg before they moved) and is Arizona's leader in basically every major statistical category for a skater.
More importantly, though, he did so much for the city of Arizona off the ice and was beloved by all Coyotes fans. Doan's number being the first to be retired by the Coyotes is a well deserved honour and the hockey world congratulated him once the announcement was made.
