Last night’s NHL playoff games seemed to be all about the pests.
Of course, in the Leafs and Bruins game, both Nazem Kadri and Brad Marchand took most of the headlines, but Ryan Kesler would not be outdone. Kadri may end up receiving a suspension for his actions last night, but it seems as if Ryan Kesler will avoid any additional punishment.
The main grievance from fans wasn’t calling for a suspension (Although there was a hit that looked pretty similar to Drew Doughty’s), but fans couldn’t believe he wasn’t assessed a penalty on the play.
Usually choking another player with your stick will do that. (WATCH THE PLAY HERE).

Luckily for Sharks fan, Evander Kane and Martin Jones put the team on their back and secured a Game 1 win for the team, so missing Kesler penalties didn’t have too much of an impact. We’re sure he’ll have plenty more strategies to fire up the fans throughout the series, because he always seems to ramp it up for playoff season.
