Sidney Crosby is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and it looks like he’s hoping to earn at least one more before calling it a career.

The 31-year-old is focused on his 2018-19 campaign but it’s clear that his sights are still set on being in Beijing for 2022 after the NHL was excluded from the 2018 tournament in PyeongChang. Crosby joined the Leafs Lunch crew and gave a pretty straight forward answer when asked if he’s hoping to make a return.

Crosby on playing in 2022 Olympics: 'I hope we find a way to get there'

No surprises there!

The Olympics may as well be this guy’s middle name based on his past success. In 2014 he captained the ‘Nucks to an easy Gold Medal win and who could forget his heroics in 2010? Nobody, that’s who!

By the time the 2022 Games come around Crosby will be turning 35 and he could be joined by some pretty interesting teammates. Imagine Crosby, Connor McDavid, AND Nathan MacKinnon all on the same team... that’s a pretty mouthwatering trio for Canadian hockey fans to think about!

Time will tell if the NHL makes a return but it’s pretty clear that Crosby is on board.
