There's no doubt in anyone's mind Arizona Coyotes' goaltender Mike Smith deserved the win on Thursday night against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The goaltender saved a whopping 44 shots in regulation and overtime, only letting two pucks past him. However, Smith did receive a whole lot of help from the crossbar and goal post during the shootout, with all three shots ringing off one or the other. That's three pucks past him, but thankfully for Smith and the Coyotes, none managing to make their way into the net.

After the game, Smith made sure to delicately thank his old friend, Mr. Crossbar, for having his back during the shootout:

Best friends forever.

It's as if the crossbar was a magic lamp, waiting for Smith to rub it to release a Genie and grant him three wishes. Spoiler alert: Smith wastes all three wishes on the pucks hitting the crossbar or goal post.
