The folks in the PR department at the University of Kansas have been putting in extra work since Friday. The Jayhawks basketball program kicked off their season with the "Late Night in the Phog" celebration with a rap concert featuring Snoop Dogg.

With kids in attendance, the recording artist had dancers on strip poles, money guns with fake money and explicit lyrics from the songs he performed inside Allen Fieldhouse.

Already in hot water with NCAA Level-1 violations, the school had to apologize for the inappropriate behaviour surrounding the rap star's performance. Some said that the school was naive in thinking that a Snoop Dogg concert wouldn't entail such actions.

The Long Beach, California product said everyone had a great time at his concert.

“The audience enjoyed that (expletive). I don’t know what the (expletive) they talking about.”

Stern asked Snoop about being asked to leave after the performance … which he denies.

“That’s a mother(expletive) lie. I had the time of my life. I enjoyed myself, hung out with the basketball teams.”

“I think it was more the publicity of what I did. they had to cover it up. And, I respect them, and I wasn’t gonna put no smut on their name and say they did anything wrong because they invited me to come do what I do.”

“And, when you pay for Snoop Dogg, you gon’ get Snoop Dogg.”

And that's exactly what they got, X-rated and all.
