The NFL Draft is just around the corner, and it is already proving to be the hardest draft to operate of all-time. What was originally setup to be a floating stage in the middle of the Bellagio Fountains in Vegas has now become a draft without a central location at all.

COVID-19 virus precautions have forced the draft to be conducted virtually, and while we may all feel relatively comfortable with our family Zoom calls at this point, a virtual draft is a scary idea for all those involved. There is so much more that could go wrong.

On Monday, the NFL hosted a mock draft and apparently it had some issues. There were major communication hurdles, and apparently band width also provided another issue. Overall, it didn’t really work to rest any worried minds.

Nonetheless, the draft must go on. Also on Monday, we got a glimpse into a few of the GM’s at-home “War Rooms” where they will be deciding the future of their franchise.

Some were… better than others...

Chargers appear to be in decent shape:

John Lynch should have no problem drafting for the Niners at all:

Andy Reid and the Chiefs… could be better…

But nobody is in quite the shape Dave Gettleman finds himself in:

April 23rd will be a pretty difficult day for the NFL as it tries to keep integrity while not putting less tech-savvy GMs at an unfair disadvantage.

Almost makes you want Gettleman to “win” the whole draft on his single laptop and binder.
