The NBA playoffs are well into second round action now, but we’re still not over the first-round send-off that Damian Lillard gave to the Oklahoma City Thunder. You know the one. The 37-foot, step-back, buzzer-beating, series-winning one.

It’s fair to ask where this shot ranks among the pantheon of cold-blooded makes all-time. This is the shot of Lillard’s career, which is no small feat, and some have gone as far as to say that it’s the shot of the decade.

Even now, the worship is reaching new levels. It got the Lego stop-motion treatment from animator Jared Jacobs, right down to the good-bye wave and the Blazers dogpile.

We haven’t seen a single shot set the internet on fire like this in a long time, but make no mistake, folks are going to be talking about this one for a while.
